Purchasing a pack of Pacific gift cards this Christmas is just another way you can support the work we do across the Pacific Islands, Papua New Guinea and Timor-Leste.

The beautifully packaged set of 10 cards, which can be given as a gift or used individually, feature the following work:

  • “Embellish” by Sylvia Marsters (see page header above), represents the brilliantly coloured hibiscus found in her homeland of the Cook Islands.
  • “Women and Their Art” by Elisabet Kauage of Papua New Guinea represents stories from traditional life and legends.
  • “Best Friends” by Fijian artist Abraham Lagi is a vibrantly coloured piece of art which represents messages of hope, peace and love.
  • “No Place Like Home” by Solomon Island artist Ellie Fa’amauri tells of her transition from her homeland and how this challenges her identity and cultural values.
  • The traditional cloth of Timor-Leste is the “TAIS”.  Two cards feature this vibrantly coloured cotton cloth.  Colours are derived from such things as mango skin, potato leaf, cactus flowers and turmeric.  Red is often the predominant colour.
