Conditions for fundraisers

When undertaking fundraising activities on behalf of The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, you must agree to abide by the following conditions:

  1. You will provide The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ with a clear description of the nature, extent and duration of your proposed activity, including details of the group or other individuals involved in organising the activity.
  2. You agree that the name and logo of The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ only be used as the organisation benefiting from the activity. Publicity should clearly state this e.g. “All proceeds go to The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ”.
  3. You will obtain approval from The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ for all publicity and material bearing The Foundation’s name and/or logo prior to its production and release.
  4. You will send copies of all your publicity materials to The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, so that staff can respond efficiently to enquiries from the public.
  5. In all your dealings with the public, sponsors and supporters, you will make it clear that you do not represent The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, but are acting on your own behalf to raise funds which you will forward to The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ.
  6. All your publicity will clearly state that either all or the share agreed with The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ of the funds raised will be forwarded to The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ.
  7. You will forward all funds raised to The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ within four weeks of the completion of your fundraising activity. For ongoing activities, this should be every two weeks.
  8. You are entirely responsible for all costs and debts associated with your fundraising activity.
  9. Any receipt books issued to you by The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ must be returned at the end of your fundraising activity. Receipts issued will only be verified for taxation purposes if The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ received the completed ticket butts.
  10. As a registered fundraiser for The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, you DO NOT have permission to collect from the public through door-to-door knocking or through soliciting donations in public places, such as shopping centres. Special permission may be granted Foundation NZ for further information.
