Every year, The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ releases our Performance Report to highlight our successes over the last year.
This year, we have created an interactive online report which has greatly reduced our costs as well as proactively putting the environment first.

Last year was another incredibly successful year for The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ as you will see in this interactive performance report.
Some of our key achievements included:
- 6,583 sight-saving surgeries.
- 97,981 patient consultations with our eye care teams.
- 15 eye care graduates.
- 1 eye clinic rebuilt in Vanuatu.
And on top of all this, we can celebrate that the key seven Pacific countries where we work now have a full time, local eye doctor. But it’s still not job done.
Fred said, “It is our job to do something about the disparity between nations. We discover our own humanity by helping others. Don’t ever forget that this is what it is all about.”
For over 25 years we have been growing and supporting a team of Pacific eye care professionals, but in order to tackle complex issues such as diabetes eye disease and delivery of eye care in countries such as Papua New Guinea, they need our support well into the future. This online performance report outlines more around what some of our key future focuses are.
