The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ wins top spot at this year’s Charity Reporting Awards

We are thrilled to share that our annual Performance Report has won the top spot in this year's New Zealand Charity Reporting Awards. These awards, run by Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, recognise outstanding financial reporting among registered charities. They are judged on both compliance with industry reporting standards and innovation in how we communicate with stakeholders.

New Zealand has almost 28,000 registered charities categorised into four tiers based on annual spend. Previously, each tier was judged separately, but since last year, Tiers 1 and 2 have been evaluated together, meaning that as a Tier 2 charity, we have been judged alongside New Zealand's largest charity organisations. This has made the award even more special.

Sharon Orr, The Foundation’s Chief Operating Officer, said of the win: "We are very excited to win the award this year especially as the bar gets lifted higher and higher. A huge thank you to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, and the generous sponsors for making these awards possible."

Producing the annual Performance Report is a significant task that requires collaboration across all of our teams. However, its important to our organisation, supporters, and Pacific partners that we demonstrate our impact with accountability and transparency. We are proud to have upheld this high standard, adding another win to our four previous accolades.
