Become a corporate partner

The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ invites you to partner with one of New Zealand’s most trusted and transparent organisations.

Our corporate partners are a vital part of our work. Through collaborative, strategic partnerships, together we restore sight and transform lives across the Pacific.

Thanks to the help of our corporate partners, we’ve restored sight to more than three million people globally and performed over 90,000 sight-saving surgeries in the Pacific.

The power of partnership

Our partnerships are about more than just funding; they are built on shared values, shared purpose, and the desire to create a world where everyone can see and live a full life.

We believe that together, we can make a significant impact, and we invite you to join us to help end avoidable blindness in the Pacific. Here’s how we can move forward:

  • Visibility and recognition. You will be recognised in our communications, impact reports, and at events, aligning your brand with our mission.
  • Building positive brand awareness. We will provide you with stories and information to share with your staff, existing customers and new audiences that reflect the impact you are making.
  • Employee engagement: We can collaborate on employee engagement initiatives, providing opportunities for staff to connect with the work of The Foundation through events, fundraising opportunities, and workplace giving options.
  • Sustained partnership: Let’s explore a long-term collaboration where you play an integral role in helping us end avoidable blindness in the Pacific through ongoing, sustained support.
  • Corporate social responsibility: Customer trust is driven by corporate social responsibility, so achieve the edge through a partnership with The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, not only through bolstering the image of your brand, but through cause-related marketing campaigns, creative marketing messaging, and advertising campaigns.

Our corporate partners

We have valued, long-term corporate partnerships with companies such as Specsavers and Ricoh.

Specsavers

Specsavers has partnered with The Foundation for 16 successful years. During that time, they have raised over $1.3 million through a range of engagement activities:

  • A portion of the sale of every pair of Specsavers glasses across the country is donated to The Foundation.
  • Specsavers’ optometrists support the training of the Refraction module for eye nurse students at the Pacific Eye Institute, Fiji.
  • Specsavers produce a range of limited-edition frames with a local artist every year, with $25 per pair sold donated to The Foundation.
  • Specsavers generously supports The Fred Hollows Humanity Awards, which recognise young people who demonstrate Fred’s values of compassion, integrity and kindness. Each year, a Junior Ambassador is awarded $5,000 to put towards one of The Foundation’s programmes.
  • During their Gift of Sight campaigns Specsavers matches donations, meaning donors can double the impact of their gift.

We are incredibly grateful to Specsavers for their long-term commitment to The Foundation.

Ricoh

Over 10 years Ricoh has supported The Foundation through a corporate partnership, raising more than $200,000 for our sight-saving work in the Pacific.

The company raises funds through events like golf days and staff engagement, including company-wide raffles, with prizes donated by Ricoh, their partners and suppliers. Ricoh’s head office generously matches all staff donations.

The partnership not only raises much needed funds, it also assists Ricoh to promote their corporate social responsibility values to staff and partners.

We thank Ricoh for their decade of partnership and ongoing support.

Mercy Hospital Dunedin

Mercy Hospital and The Foundation enjoy a long-standing partnership with a focus on strengthening the eye care workforce in Papua New Guinea.

Training is the cornerstone of our work in the Pacific together and over the past nine years, the significant contribution from Mercy Hospital of over $1.2m has substantially increased the number of doctors and nurses available to deliver eye care services in Papua New Guinea.

As a result, thousands of people are now able to access quality eye care services that were previously unable to.
