Leave a bequest

Their sight can be your legacy.

Leave a bequest

Kiwi eye surgeon Fred Hollows had a vision of a world where no one is needlessly blind. A bequest to The Foundation will help keep that dream alive when you're no longer here.

Imagine if part of your legacy was helping future generations receive the sight-saving surgery that would not have been available to them otherwise.

“We are giving people the chance to help themselves. We are giving them independence."
- Professor Fred Hollows

Right now, thousands of people in the Pacific are living without sight. Their independence and dignity has been taken away. For many of these people their future holds little or no hope.

By leaving a gift in your Will to The Fred Hollows Foundation NZ, you’ll be giving people their lives back.

Thank you for contributing your legacy towards sight, helping the people of the Pacific see a future.

Different ways you can support us with a bequest

Leaving a gift in your Will can be done in a number of ways. Bequests can be made for The Foundation’s general purposes; Restoring Sight, Training Doctors and Nurses, Strengthening Health Systems or Driving Innovation and Research.

  • The residue of the estate
  • A percentage of the estate
  • A specific amount of money
  • A life insurance or superannuation policy
  • Assets such as shares, property, works of art, jewellery
  • An investment in perpetuity
